We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support over the past year, it was our dream to run a little village pub and while it lasted we couldn't of been happier.
We have meet so many fantastic people along the way and most of whom we would now call friends, it is their love and support that made it a bitterly difficult decision to close the pub.
Sadly due to the economic down turn and the availablity of very cheap alcohol in the big supermarkets the pub trade is a hard business which proved too hard for us.
So life goes on and a new chapter begings and me and Cate hope that it is not too long before "The Dog" opens back up again, hopefully the brewery will show them more support than they showed us.

P.s. Simon it is not okay to order 8 bottles of wine, drink them and then haggle over the price. It shows you to be cheap and heartless, plus the staff are still awaiting their tips you "promised" to give them.
